It’s January! AKA, time for people everywhere to make resolutions and forget about them by March.
Not here, though! Calvin and I did some brainstorming and discussed goals. For 2022, we’re going to focus on all things related to the outdoors. We narrowed it down to these four main categories:
1. Clean up the woods. There isn’t a ton of wooded area, but it’s very overgrown. We’d like to clear out the debris to make space for smaller trees to grow and thrive, and make a designated walking/ATV trail throughout.
2. Make improvements to the animals’ spaces. This will include fixing up the chicken coop, cleaning more junk out of the barn, and getting electricity run to the barn as well.
3. Remove stumps. Start cleaning up the back yard by getting the stumps out, then figure out the best use for the newly-cleared area.
4. Plant a vegetable garden. I’m most excited about this one! It’s going to be a challenge because I’m a newbie gardener, but I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. I can’t wait to have our own fresh veggies during the summer, and freeze/can some for winter.
That’s it! I’m so happy to be able to share the visions we have for Iveyshire with all of our readers. Stay tuned to see how we do on these goals!
So exciting!!!!
