We don’t really have any updates on the house situation yet, but since my last post we’ve adopted a dog, I signed up for an exercise class, and my husband found a new job. I guess that’s what happens when you’re going stir crazy- you start to do stuff out of the blue.
Our new little rescue doggie is named Odin. We’ll pick him up the second week of August because he needs to go to the vet before we bring him home. I will make a post about him when he finally comes home with us! Here’s a sneak peak though, because he’s cute. (Probably worth mentioning that getting a dog was not a rash decision; we’ve been discussing it for months!)
I signed up for a barre/pilates class at a local fitness center. Those who know me personally will know that it is EXTREMELY out of the ordinary for me to do something like this. The last time I “went to the gym” was when my Pre-K class literally went to the school gym to wave that ridiculous rainbow parachute thing around. The first class was this week, and I have to say I haven’t done that much of a workout since being in labor. It was intense and I could barely walk the next day, but I think it’ll be good for me to step outside of my comfort zone a bit. Love the burn, right?
Last but not least, my husband got a new job. YAY! He will hopefully be home a lot more, instead of being gone for days at a time. It’s another change, but it sounds like a much better fit for our family than what he’s been doing. It also sounds like a better fit for the bank as far as getting a mortgage- who knows, at the rate we’re going we may just be able to buy the house outright and not need to rent it at all.
Other than that, we’ve just been trucking along, going to the pool, parks, playgrounds, etc. We also went to a car show downtown last weekend, which was pretty cool. Did I take any pictures of the cars? Nope. Did I take 10 pictures of my children eating hot dogs? You betcha.
